ETCS supported complex 2nd-row seating back panel tooling for both 40% and 60% seat configurations under the 2014 VN 147 program. Large Transfer Dies and challenging panel geometry were successfully designed, built, run, validated, and bought off for the OEM.
Each configuration required independent tooling engineered to handle the distinct forming geometry, trim line requirements, and quality standards. Both programs were delivered and validated for production readiness.

The 40% Back Panel is a complex structural seating component with multiple formed features, slot cut-outs, and embossed geometry. ETCS engineered and built a dedicated Transfer Die for this panel, enabling high-accuracy multi-station forming in a single die program.

The 60% Back Panel is a wider structural variant sharing the program architecture with the 40% panel. ETCS designed a larger Transfer Die with additional stations to accommodate the wider part geometry, complex trim lines, and extrusion features — while maintaining dimensional accuracy across both configurations.
